In the beginning both RL (Rostik Litvak) and GB (George Burshteyn) shared a vision of expanding the electronic genre beyond the realms of techno, interested in blending rhythms and natural instruments with electronic beats. This ultimately led them to a discovery of Drum & Bass and the two soon began DJ-ing live at local college parties and radio stations. Within a short time, they were performing at some of the most well-known clubs and raves in New York City and throughout the tri-state area. By 2001, RLGB started touring internationally throughout Europe, Russia and Canada and in 2002 Hostile Recordings was launched.
Based in NYC, the label has now spanned 13 years and features over 40 releases. It includes some of the most reputable and legendary producers in the current electronic scene, as well as a range of promising world wide talent destined to make a mark on the Drum & Bass landscape.
